Commission Hearing Room 2115, Dobbs Building

By law, Dominion Energy North Carolina (Dominion) can request price changes once a year for its fuel and fuel-related costs. On August 30, 2018, Dominion filed an application requesting an annual fuel revenue increase of about $24.3 million. To collect this revenue, Dominion proposes to increase residential customer rates by 0.587 cents per kilowatt-hour. If approved, this request would increase the monthly bill of a residential customer using 1,000 kWh of electricity by $5.87. Dominion proposes that this rate increase be effective February 1, 2019.

The hearing on November 5, 2018, is for the purpose of receiving public witness testimony, while the one on November 8, 2018, is for receiving expert witness testimony from formal parties, including Dominion and other intervenors.
