On April 27, 2020, Pluris Webb Creek, LLC (Pluris Webb Creek) filed a request to increase its rates for providing sewer service in Onslow County. Pluris Webb Creek serves about 1,354 residential flat-rate sewer customers and eight metered commercial sewer customers.
Pluris Webb Creek proposes to increase the monthly flat rate for residential customers from $37.69 to $73.38. For commercial customers, Pluris Webb Creek proposes to change the monthly base rate from $28.34 for all meter sizes to a monthly base rate based on the size of the meter as shown below:

The hearing scheduled for September 23 is for the sole purpose of receiving testimony from public witnesses. This hearing will be held remotely via Webex. People who want to speak at the hearing will do so via telephone, and must register in advance by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2020. When registering, provide your name, the docket number (W-1314 Sub 4), the subdivision where you receive sewer service, the telephone number you will be calling from to give your testimony, and the topic of your testimony. A member of the Public Staff will contact you with further instructions. The Commission reserves the right to limit the speaking time for witnesses to ensure that as many people speak as possible. For those who want to view the hearing, a link will be available on this website (www.ncuc.net) on the day of the hearing.
The hearing on November 2 is to take the testimony of expert witnesses, including witnesses for Pluris Webb Creek. The Commission will decide by October 12 whether this hearing will also be heard remotely via Webex. If so, members of the public will be permitted to observe the hearing via a link that will be available via this website.
Customers can also submit a written statement to the Commission via email. Be sure to include the docket number in the subject line.
