Hearing Room 2115, Dobbs Building
430 North Salisbury Street, Raleigh

On July 30, 2018, Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC (DEC), and Duke Energy Progress, LLC (DEP), filed a motion requesting that the Commission approve changes to the NC interconnection procedures in order to establish a system impact group study process. The Companies stated that this approach would allow for more efficient evaluation of the distribution and transmission costs of power generation bids to be received pursuant to the Competitive Procurement of Renewable Energy Program established by Session Law 2017-192. Several parties subsequently filed comments in opposition to the proposal. On August 10, 2018, the Commission issued an Order setting this matter for oral argument.

Members of the public may attend the oral argument, but there will be no opportunity at the oral argument for public comments. Members of the public can instead send comments about this matter to the Commission here.
